Come join us on our next adventure...
Finishing a basement in a townhouse. This room, when complete, will be a new study for the homeowner.
Below is a picture from one end of the room... And now looking back towards the back of the house.

Work is underway.
In two days about 75% of the framing is complete. Steve is putting the finishing touches
in the new walk-in closet while Tony is working on the ceiling in the study area.

week ending 9-22.2006
Below are pictures of the completed framing with electrical and HVAC completed and ready for drywall. Looking up to the ceiling you see framing for bulkheads on the sides and the framed wall opposite the doors is ready for the built in bookcases.

Below is the reframing of the entry to the new study area. 2 - 32" doors have been removed and wall reframed for the new 5' french doors. Electrical has been passed and now ready to be covered up with the drywall.

week ending 9-29-2006

Most all the drywall is now installed and in process of "mud and taping".

Here it is, Tuesday and lots of progress has been made. Walls and ceiling were textured, primed and final coat of paint is being applied. Steve has been building the book shelves in the shop and is now installing them into place.

Terrie is trimming out the wall paint and Tony is reinstalling a door that was moved from an existing wall.

Shelving units are in place, trimmed out and nail holes filled and ready for paint. Terrie will spend the next few days priming and painting the 5 built in units and 25 shelves as well as trimming out the rest of the room. French doors should be arriving this week and installed. Soon we will be in the home stretch and have another job wrapped up and ready to be moved into.
